The UniDrive: Point-to-Point HD over Cat 5

Introducing the UniDrive - the newest member of Audio Authority's Cat 5 distribution family. The Model AVP-11 UniDrive delivers HDTV signals from a single source to one remote location up to 1,000 feet away. Unlike passive balun systems, the UniDrive employs proprietary Active Gain Equalization, dramatically extending range and signal integrity. In addition to transmitting HDTV audio and video signals, the UniDrive has a 3-conductor pathway for infrared control signals. This pathway can be used for signals traveling in either direction.
  • Component video, digital audio, and analog audio
  • IR remote control signal pathway in Cat 5 bus
  • Pristine HDTV signals up to 1,000 feet from source
The cable length compensation adjustment on the receiver allows the installer to fine tune image quality over long Cat 5 runs. Only the transmitter requires a power supply; the receiver is powered over the Cat 5 bus.

The AVP-11 system includes one Model 9880T Cat 5 Transmitter, and one Model 9880 Cat 5 Receiver. The AVP-11D offers the 9879 Cat 5 Receiver Wallplate. The UniDrive further diversifies Audio Authority's Cat 5 solutions which include 6x6 matrix systems and multi-output distribution systems.
