AVAtrix ver. 1.6 Firmware Fixes Volume Bug, Adds Features

Models Affected: AVM-562, AVX-562, 1173BK
Reason for Notice: New firmware is available that fixes a volume control-related bug on the 1173BK and adds new features
Disposition: Some installers have reported exceptionally long delays in response when using the 1173BK Multi-Zone Audio Router for volume control on the AVAtrix. Updating the host AVAtrix's firmware to version 1.6 addresses this problem, and also adds some requested new control features. Summary of Changes:
- Fixes slow response when changing volume via serial connection
- Added volume control capability to the front and rear IR inputs (J=Volume Up, K=Volume Down, L=Mute on 1105BK remote)
- Added Volume +, Volume -, and mute to abbreviated serial command set
- Added mute toggle command to extended serial command set
- Other code changes to improve SD card compatibility
Who Should Apply This Update?
Those with systems experiencing slow-responding volume commands through the serial port, or installers wishing to take advatage of one of the new features mentioned above should apply this update.
