This version log lists most improvements over the previous version of 1166/1156 and related Firmware.

Version 2.5
Release Date: January 9, 2008

• Removes AutoSelect functionality
• Improves IR processing
• First version to support new 1176 hardware. Any system with an 1176 Serial # 11109 or higher must use this version or higher.

Release Date: November 9, 2007

• Harmonizes version numbers and displayed version messages to prevent confusion

• Safeguard buffer added to prevent possible file corruption caused by Microsoft Windows when the firmware update is downloaded
• Improved gap timing between IR commands

• Improves internal IR detection and IR learn functions
• Adds local and Wallplate IR diagnostics
• Adds network version diagnostic
• Allows search on SD card for file by name
• Adds periodic VFD refresh to eliminate freezing
• Adds VFD message during lengthy EEPROM writes
• Allows Professional Screen commands (Unit, Zone, All, and Main) to be used via IR when in Residential Screen
• Increases size of RS-232 input buffer from 64 bytes to 512 bytes

Release Date: February 6, 2006

• Changes operation of professional screen, allows long and short zone names
• Changes zone assignment screen
• Front panel IR and RS-232 interpretation were adapted to implement these features via IR and serial remote control.
• VFD update was altered significantly and cleaned up.
• Display mode can be changed from Professional to Residential screen and back by a single key press
• VFD blanking control added to settings list
• "CONTROL WALLPLATES" removed from root menu list and "NAME ZONES" added
• Sample names were enhanced to include both long and short names for Sources and Zones
• Default and Demo configurations were modified
• 1172 address space was added to the address diagnostic
• 1176 Expanders at addresses B and above now communicate with the 1166
• Professional screen now responsive after reading the SD card configuration file
