Analog to Digital Audio

The 979T is perfect for converting an analog audio-only source to digital optical or digital coaxial format. In this example, a legacy audio source such as a tape deck or VCR can be converted to 2.0 PCM for integration with an amplifier's digital input. This solution is useful when only one coaxial cable is available for sound, or when no analog inputs are available on the receiver.
