Signal Distribution Application 2

HDTV Signal Distribution:
Covering a Wide Area

By using a "hub and spoke" configuration, a very large number of DAs (Distribution Amplifiers) can be used within a single DA network over a wide area.

Place one DA as a "hub" near the geographic center of the areas of use. You may then start up to 4 new bus paths from its outputs, plus one more from the bus output. Each "spoke" bus path can support up to 7 DAs.

Each DA in each of the "spokes" serves four TVs and/or audio systems. On each amplifier, adjust the Cable Length Compensation control equal to the total length of the bus cable run from the source to that amplifier. Leave the Cable Length Compensation control at 0 feet on the DA used as a hub.

The "hub and spoke" configuration of 9850 modules shown also works well for 9851 Distribution Amplifiers.
