Sherman's has demonstrated that an advanced demo system, along with sales staff trained to use it, can mean a huge increase in audio sales. Read the recent Dealerscope Magazine feature about this system. (The Art of the Demo, March 2010, page 80).

Sherman's began putting Audio Authority demo systems in their stores in 2005. "Since that first system went in, we have had a sales advantage over the big box stores based on our ability to demonstrate individual speakers, sources and receivers." says Doug Lehr, Manager of Sherman's Homeworks.

Mr. Lehr describes the new HDMI-equipped audio room this way: "Recently, we rebuilt our smallest store into our largest full line store with the biggest audio demonstration room in our business. We can select from 32 front speakers, 12 center channels, 12 surrounds, and 4 surround back channels." 

Why HDMI in a demo system? Mr. Lehr explains, "This system is the first one we’ve done with HDMI switching for full 7.1 channel lossless audio...to see 10 receivers all light up with a Dolby TrueHD signal was just awesome. We can now do even better demonstrations than we’ve ever been able to, and it is all because of the Audio Authority products." Mr. Lehr continues, "We have found the systems to be very reliable and easy to operate with the touchscreen interface."
