Using the 1391 Extender
The Model 1391 reconstitutes the HDMI signal at the end of long cable runs, just before the display input. The maximum cable length from the source to the 1391 input is 40 meters. The cable length from the 1391 output may be up to 5 meters using premium cables. In many cases, more than one 1391 can be used in a single cable run.

Greater Reliability
Most other products designed to perform this task rely on the power supplied by the source over the HDMI cable itself. This power source can be inconsistent from source to source, and performance often suffers. The 1391 is powered by a separate, external power supply to ensure solid reliability and excellent performance.
