Counter Station with HIPAA Compliant Privacy Handset Cradle

Model 1500BH Counter Stations use a special touch-sensitive keypad for lane selection, volume control, camera control and mute/hold functions (see detail image). The handset provides extra privacy for sensitive transactions. The keypad is intuitve and easy to use, and there are no moving parts to wear out. Additionally, the lane keys can be easily configured at the point of installation for the specific application, using the supplied color inserts. Only the keys needed for system control are active.

** Important: the 1522B IS NOT compatible with the 1580 system. Do not connect them! **

To form a complete 1-on-2 audio system you will need the following Audio Authority products: 

• 1522B
• 1500B or 1500A
• 2 Speakers
• 2 Microphones

Optional devices

• push-button switches
• traffic sensors (1547B)
• privacy handset for counter station 1503B or 1503BW
• armored privacy handset for lane station 1540

To complete the system you must also provide:

• Category cable from counter station to lane station (we recommend Cat 6 shielded)
• Shielded, paired cable with three to six twisted pairs of conductors from lane station to the lane devices in each lane cabinet

FAQ

Q: Can I add video to the 1522B system? 
A: The 1522B does not have any capacity for video. You must replace the 1522B with 1520B lane stations, and replace the wiring to the lanes with Cat 6. 

Q: Can I connect the 1522 to a 1580 counter station? 
A: No, do not connect any 1580 component to a 1500 series component. Damage will result.

Q: Can I use the same wiring for the lane stations that was used in a previous 1580 installation?
A: Yes, the same wiring to lane devices (speaker, mic, call button, etc.) may be used. Do notconnect a 1580 counter station or lane station to a 1500 counter station or lane station.
