Overview

The UniDrive is "A Better Kind of Balun" - a high performance active point-to-point Cat 5 extender capable of distributing high definition component video, analog stereo audio, and digital audio signals from one source to one display over distances up to 1,000 feet. Including proprietary A.G.E. (Active Gain Equalization) technology, high frequency signals are presented with their original quality intact. Inorporating the key signal paths necessary for premium audio and video entertainment, plus an IR pathway for easy remote control of AV components, the AVP-11 replaces six coaxial cables with two inexpensive, easy to install Cat 5 cables, and requires no power at the Cat 5 Receiver.

Q: How can I expand the number of outputs on the AVP-11 or AVP-11D?

A: The AVP-11 systems are designed for simple point-to-point operation. If more than one output is needed, the 9870 and 9870D are a better choice. The 9870 family can be bussed together to add almost unlimited numbers of outputs. If rack mounting is needed, the AVD-71D Cat 5 Distribution System is a good choice, and is expandable to 42 outputs.
