For long cable runs, use Model 1380R zone receivers connected to the HMX-244 Cat 5 outputs.

• Optional Cat 5 zone receiver (1380R, sold separately) terminates dual Cat 5e/6 cables up to 130 ft. (40m)
• 1380R provides a built-in IR receiver that transmits IR commands from the zone to the HMX-244 to switch inputs and to pass IR commands to the sources
• Input switching can be performed through RS-232 or IR

A: Yes. The HMX-244 has been ATC certified as HDMI compliant, and meets all requirements of HDCP certification.

Q: Can I use the HDMI output for one TV, and the Cat 5 output for the same position to connect to another TV?
A: No, use either HDMI or Cat 5 output at each position, do not use both for the same position.

Q: What is the switching state on power-up?
A: When turned on for the first time, and any time power is removed and then restored, the HMX-244 sets all zones to source 1.
