Overview

The BlueBeam is designed to allow a Sony Playstation 3 to be integrated into an IR remote control system. The PS3 accepts only Bluetooth® commands, but the BlueBeam allows any universal IR remote that is capable of learning the PS3 commands to control the PS3. The programming method is similar for most learning remotes and home control systems. You may download CCF files here if your remote accepts CCF files.

• Auto-pairing: No more pressing buttons to get the BlueBeam to recognize the PlayStation 3. Just turn on pairing mode in the PS3 then plug in the BlueBeam, and let it do the rest.
• Improved IR compatibility: IR port accepts modulated or demodulated signals from 5V IR receivers
• IR repeater mode: IR signals received on the internal IR receiver between 36-40kHz are repeated and transmitted to an IR emitter.
• Autosensing IR mode: Looks for external IR signals while still allowing the internal IR receiver to be used
• Optimized battery power management

Programming and Pairing

Instructions for pairing the BlueBeam IR to Bluetooth® converter with your PlayStation 3 console are contained in the user manual and quickstart guide. To find the IR codeset for programming your particular IR remote, consult the manufacturer of the remote control. To program the BlueBeam and add custom macros, download the Windows IR to Bluetooth software application.

Power Options

To power up your BlueBeam, use the enclosed AA batteries, a USB to Mini-USB cable (not included), or the Model 571-013 power supply.
